When she was four years old, her family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. It was in Phoenix, at the age of seven, where Simrin watched a group of hip hop dancers perform, and realized that she wanted to expand her dance training. Simrin has since become a very dedicated and passionate dancer in all areas of dance.
In 2007, Simrin was freestyling at a bboy/bgirl battle in New York. She was spotted by Missy Elliot's choreographer and was asked to audition for the Vh1 Hip Hop Honors Award Show honoring Missy. Simrin booked the job and has since gone on to work with other artists including Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Shakira, and Justin Bieber! This summer, Simrin appeared as a dancer in her first motion picture, Step Up 3 in 3D. In the fall, she will also be appearing on the Nick Jr. episodal 'The Fresh Beat Band'.
At the age of twelve, Simrin Player, a young dancer, has had many opportunities that most wouldn't. Even though she has danced all her life, she started taking it seriously at the age of eight. At the age of nine she started competing in these dance categories Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Ballet, and Jazz.
The many competitions she has been in include are Hall Of Fame Dance Challenge, Jump, Nuvo, and Pulse (not a competition). Most of her fans know her from Justin Bieber's music video for 'Somebody To Love'(2010), Shakira's 'Waka Waka' video (2010), and more recently Willow Smith's 'Whip My Hair' video (2010). In 2009, Simrin auditioned for The Sears Arive Lounge Air Band with Selena Gomez. That same year Simrin and the other four air band members performed at the VMA's.
In 2007 she performed as a dancer at the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors for Missy Elliott. Her biggest opportunity was to be in Step Up 3D. You can watch her videos on Youtube and follow her on twitter. She is an amazing dancer, and not to mention, probably one of the youngest to have this many opportunities.
